Developing Excellence - Culinary Arts CPD

ISEiW is pleased to invite you to a comprehensive Culinary Arts CPD event on 21st January 2025 at the ICC in Newport.

This session will focus on preparing for the UK entry and regional stages, with a view to learners making the National Finals being held in Wales, November 2025.

There will be an emphasis on WorldSkills UK standards and requirements, along with what’s required at a World level. Arwyn Watkins OBE and Stuart Mcleod will lead the event, delivering three 1.5-hour sessions designed to enhance understanding of the competition process.

*The sessions will run at the following times:
11:30-13:00
15:30-17:00

*Please state in the Additional Requirements box which time slot you are available to attend.

Participants will gain valuable insights into marking criteria, common areas where competitors fall short, and the key differences between competition stages. This event is ideal for those looking to refine their skills ahead of the National Finals coming to Wales.

Additionally, on the 21st of January, award-winning former MasterChef contestant Theo Micheals will be hosting a live demo on sustainable cooking at the following times: 11:00am, 1:30pm, and 3:00pm. Theo, known for his innovative approach to sustainable cooking, has authored nine cookbooks and will share expert tips and techniques to help you elevate your culinary skills with a focus on sustainability.
