Paul Evans, ISEiW project director, awarded Honorary Associate by WorldSkills Europe

Inspiring Skills Excellence in Wales project Director, Paul Evans, has been awarded an Honorary Associate by WorldSkills Europe for the development of skills excellence.

Paul was attending a WorldSkills Team UK farewell event held at Loughborough University, when he was surprised with the award.

Since 2014, using his extensive experience in training and nurturing learners, Paul has led the ISEiW project team to guide students across Wales to regional, national, and international success. Not only this, but the project has inspired a new generation of learners around the exciting possibilities offered from vocational training.

Paul joins only a select few individuals selected for the award each year, recognising the outstanding contribution made to raising standards in skills and training in Europe.

Paul Evans, ISEiW Project Director, said: “It is a fantastic honour to receive this award, however this is not only for me, but also for all our partners and colleagues from the education sector in Wales. Without their continued support and drive, I would not be receiving this award today.”

Partnerships with facilitators, colleges, and businesses ensure the project has the means to continue inspiring learners across the whole of Wales.

The ISEiW team are continually grateful for the support from partners, employers, and all those engaged with the project, whose role is vital to the success of all elements of the project.
